Job Description

A perfect opportunity for a fashion student or recent graduate.

We are a tiny but fast-paced New York art studio that creates luxury, fashion-based, movable sculptures — and we’re looking for a fabricator to assist in producing 1/4 and 1/3 scale miniature apparel.

No prior experience in miniature crafting is necessary, but an exceptional eye for detail and precision is absolutely essential.

We believe that small scale should never mean small standards — our garments are fully functional, with real zippers, linings, pockets, and immaculate stitching… they just happen to fit in the palm of your hand.

Responsibilities

  • Follow patterns and guidance from Pasha (our lead artist) and the other creatives around to create miniature, fully functional garments.

Qualifications

  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Strong sewing skills

Pluses

  • Experience or interest in miniature garment construction
  • Understanding of apparel-based pattern making
  • Familiarity with fabric handling and manipulation

Schedule

  • 2 days per week, 10am–6pm

Employment Type

  • Internship
  • Paid 6-hour interview/trial day: $40
  • Ongoing pay: $15/hour

Perks of This Internship

  • Hands-on experience in a successful New York art studio
  • Get an inside look at the operations of a respected luxury art brand.
  • Creative mentorship from a lead artist
  • Work closely with the studio founder and lead designer on couture-level miniature pieces.
  • Collaborate with a passionate, highly skilled team
  • Be part of a focused and supportive studio where craftsmanship and creativity intersect.
  • Refine advanced sewing and construction skills
  • Push your technical ability by working on garments that demand precision and finesse.
  • Gain a rare and specialized skillset
  • Learn the unique art of miniature fashion — a hybrid of sculpture and couture design.

The Setting

  • We’re a small, dedicated studio based in East Harlem. While our space has a casual, homey atmosphere, our team is deeply committed, focused, and driven — we take our craft seriously and work hard every day to bring our creative visions to life.
  • of note - we do have two very very friendly cats that frequent the studio so hopefully you aren't allergic!
