Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – School-Based

Location: Walled Lake, MI

Position Type: Full-Time, School Year (2025–2026)

Start Date: Immediate or Upcoming School Year

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our educational team in Walled Lake, Michigan. The ideal candidate is a collaborative professional who is committed to supporting students’ communication, language development, and academic success. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders for students across designated grade levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations to determine speech-language needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
  • Provide direct and consultative speech-language services to students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to integrate communication goals into the classroom environment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and district requirements.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to eligibility decisions.
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and strategies for home carryover.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current Michigan SLP License and/or Michigan Department of Education (MDE) School Certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFY candidates considered.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in a school setting is a plus.
