ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a Senior Interior Designer with a minimum of ten years experience at architecture or commercial interior design firms. The ideal candidate will bring Blitz’s core design values to each project, combining creative vision with disciplined project delivery. Senior Interior Designers nurture their clients, support their coworkers, play well with contractors and consultants, manage deadlines like a boss, and rock their job hard. This position demands a quick-thinking design leader conversant in space planning and furniture and material specification, with stellar technical and communication skills and dogged persistence.
EXPERIENCE
• 10+ years professional experience.
• Accredited degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Graphic Design.
• NCIDQ Certification.
• LEED and/or WELL Accreditation a plus.
• REVIT proficiency is required.
• Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Experience in commercial interiors.
• Experience with core/ shell, hospitality, and retail a strong plus.
DESIGN/ TECHNICAL DESIGN
• Excellent technical and design skills.
• Expert knowledge of the California Building Code and/ or Local Building Codes.
• Experience with programming and space planning.
• Experience with materials research and selection.
• Experience in construction documentation and detailing.
• Experience as the key design decision-maker for projects
• Experience leading a team of designers.
• Experience with Furniture and Systems Furniture Specification and management of associated budgets and schedules.
• Ability to review construction for general conformance with the design concept.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Experience coordinating with public agencies and jurisdictions related to planning and building approvals.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS
• Candidates must currently reside in and have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
• Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills, as well as excellent organizational skills.
• Candidates must be able to travel to other studios as required.
• Covid-19 vaccination may be required.

SALARY RANGE
$115,000 - $125,000 annual
