* Monitor media coverage on behalf of clients, track results, and report on PR metrics.
* Coordinate and manage press briefings, media tours, and interview requests.
1. **Communications Support & Crisis Response**
* Respond to PR‑related inquiries, requests, and media issues quickly and professionally.
* Assist in the development of crisis communication plans and support execution when needed.
* Provide rapid response communications to mitigate reputational risk.
1. **Brand Immersion & Strategic Planning**
* Conduct in-depth reviews of client brands, including their values, positioning, competitors, and target markets.
* Collaborate with account teams to develop strategic, tailored PR plans that align with each brand’s objectives.
* Help brainstorm and implement innovative communication strategies that elevate brand voice, generate publicity, and enhance sponsorship opportunities.
1. **Content & Messaging Development**
* Write, edit, and package press materials — including press releases, press kits, media advisories, pitches, and newsletters.
* Develop and maintain key messaging documents to ensure consistent brand tone across all communications.
* Create content for other marketing and communication channels (e.g., blog posts, social media, email campaigns) as needed.
1. **Cross‑Functional Collaboration**
* Partner closely with creative, marketing, design, and strategy teams to ensure alignment of messaging and brand identity.
* Support internal initiatives for coordinated campaign execution, ensuring all materials support broader business goals.
* Contribute to client brainstorms, quarterly planning, and reviews.
1. **Research & Reporting**
* Conduct media research, competitor analysis, and industry trends to inform PR strategies.
* Track and report on campaign performance, media impressions, sentiment, and ROI for clients.
* Prepare regular reports and insights for clients and internal stakeholders.
**Qualifications & Skills**
* Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
* 1–3 years of experience in PR, communications, or media relations (agency experience preferred).
* Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills — you can craft clear, compelling, and error‑free copy.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with media, clients, and internal teams.
* Understanding of social media platforms, digital communications, and content marketing.
* Experience creating press materials (press releases, media kits, etc.).
* Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* A proactive, resourceful mindset — you don’t wait for direction, you find the opportunity.
* Detail-oriented with the capacity to think strategically.
* Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Meltwater, Cision, Google Alerts) is a plus.
* Basic knowledge of SEO, analytics, or digital marketing is an asset.
