We are seeking a seasoned Project Architect to join our growing architecture team. This is a leadership role for a licensed architect with strong technical expertise, team management skills, and deep experience in residential and mixed-use projects.

About the Role

As a Project Architect, you will lead the design and technical execution of projects from concept through construction. You’ll guide project teams, oversee documentation, and coordinate with consultants, jurisdictions, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead architectural projects through all phases: schematic design, entitlements, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration
  • Prepare and coordinate high-quality construction documents, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards
  • Direct and mentor project team members, manage schedules, and allocate resources to meet project goals and deadlines
  • Interface with local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for approvals and permits
  • Apply deep knowledge of California Building Codes, ADA, and Fair Housing regulations
  • Collaborate with consultants and clients to achieve integrated, buildable solutions
  • Oversee quality control through document check sets and coordination
Qualifications
  • California licensed architect
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in an architectural firm
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited program
  • Proficient in Revit ; hands-on production experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and team management skills
  • Extensive experience with Type IB and Type III podium residential projects
  • Working knowledge of entitlement processes and interactions with local AHJs
  • Hands-on experience across all project phases
  • Familiar with LEED standards; LEED accreditation preferred
  • Enthusiastic about working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
