Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled MEP Senior Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in various construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of engineered systems and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers and engineers to deliver high-quality estimates that align with project goals and budgets.
Key Responsibilities - Prepare and analyze detailed MEP cost estimates for various projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
- Utilize software tools such as Revit, Bluebeam, and Cost X to enhance the estimating process.
- Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and other documentation to ensure thorough understanding of project requirements.
- Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather accurate data for estimating purposes.
- Provide input on budget development and value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs.
- Maintain and update a database of labor, material, and equipment costs to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an MEP Estimator in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Revitzo, Bluebeam, and Cost X.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems and construction processes.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and clients.
