Position Summary

The CNC Maintenance Technician will utilize electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic diagnostic skills to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair CNC and precision machining equipment. The role also supports preventive and predictive maintenance efforts using CMMS and condition-monitoring tools.

Reports To: Director of Maintenance

Work Location: Sedalia, MO

Key Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain CNC machines, manual machines, robotics, and machining centers
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and software systems
• Perform machine alignments using conventional, laser, and electronic methods
• Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
• Diagnose and repair AC/DC and variable speed drive systems
• Use CMMS to track work orders and maintenance activities
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance (vibration analysis, oil sampling, thermal imaging)
• Respond to machine-down conditions with urgency
• Follow safe rigging and industrial safety practices

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC maintenance technician experience
• Strong understanding of CNC machine design and operation
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
• Proven electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills
• Experience using electrical test equipment
• Ability to operate forklifts and powered industrial vehicles
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Fluent in English
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience
• Welding, machining, milling, or cutting experience
• Background in industrial, hydraulic, or mechanical maintenance trades

Physical & Mental Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs and work on uneven surfaces
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varied conditions
• Strong organization, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
