Job Description

Our client, a manufacturing company located just outside Spokane, WA is looking for a Maintenance Manager to join their team.

This position is responsible for managing maintenance and building services while focusing on safety, quality, and operational efficiency. This is a hands-on position.

What you will do in this role:

  • Manages maintenance plans and programs to increase uptime and profitability while providing the necessary support for ongoing operations. Includes mechanical and electrical services, boilers, steam production and automation.
  • Oversees and coordinates maintenance service requirements outsourced to external service providers.
  • Overall responsibility to ensure all site assets are maintained in good working condition and to oversee all grounds maintenance.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of capital projects of financial or risk benefit to the facility.
  • Manages the in house critical spare parts inventory and related procurement processes.
  • Ensures documentation of maintenance processes is complete and provides reports as required.
  • Responsible for all aspects of human resource management including hiring, promoting, performance management, and discharging within company policy. Provides for effective staff development according to requirements. Manages power engineering staff.
  • Manages equipment conditions and work practices to ensure that safety standards are maintained in accordance with requirements and government regulations.
  • Helps to promote an environment that fosters teamwork and safe work practices. Promotes efficient initiatives through participation, training, and staff engagement in continuous work improvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as required.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Minimum 10 years progressively responsible experience including manager/supervisory experience
  • Grade 12 or recognized equivalent. Either a journeyman certificate or an engineering degree or certificate.
  • Demonstrated understanding of industrial maintenance, boilers, steam production and HVAC systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Computer competent.
  • PLC experience in Allen Bradley is a must
  • Would be an asset to come from oil refinery or a wastewater plant
