Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Encourage relational learning and ensure children have and make choices.
· Create engaging activities that promote learning through play.
· Foster a positive, developmentally appropriate, and inclusive classroom environment that nurtures each person’s confidence.
· Ensuring that the child's daily routine is planned with the child's parent(s)/guardian and in accordance with MA EEC Standards.
· Monitor and assess child progress daily and provide quarterly written assessments to parents/guardians.
· Mentor and evaluate teaching assistants who support the children and classroom.
· Utilize various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
· Maintain a safe, organized and healthy environment to ensure compliance with MA DPH Standards.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree required (Early Childhood Education or related field - preferred).
· Min. 2 years prior teaching experience working with 0 – 7-year-olds as a teacher.
· Demonstrated knowledge of child development theories and developmentally appropriate practices.
· Strong communication skills to interact effectively with college students, parents, and colleagues.
· Knowledge of positive psychology and managing challenging behaviors.
· Experience with assessment tools and writing progress reports.
· Program delivered in English, ability to write well in English.
· We welcome educators who speak and write in a second language or ASL.
Position: Full-time Salaried: $ 52,000 to $ 62,500 per year with extensive benefits ( depending on years of experience & certifications)
Part-time: $24 - $30 per hour
