Perficient has a career opportunity for a Lead Data Analyst with Healthcare experience to join our Data and Analytics Business Unit for the Manhattan, NYC location.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Healthcare Data Analyst with experience in medical claims and eligibility data to support multiple lines of business. This role involves analyzing complex datasets, performing QA, and collaborating with development and QA teams to ensure accurate and efficient data processing. The ideal candidate will consolidate business understanding across stakeholders and help extend current data extracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with medical claims and eligibility data across multiple lines of business.
  • Extend and enhance existing data extracts to meet evolving business needs.
  • Perform data analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and trends for actionable insights.
  • Build and maintain Source-to-Target (S2T) mapping documents for data integration.
  • Collaborate with developers and QA teams during internal and external testing phases.
  • Conduct internal testing and support external testing for data validation.
  • Understand and apply ETL processes for data transformation and loading.
  • Consolidate business requirements and understand where no single business owner exists for the dataset.
  • Explore opportunities to improve data quality and reporting efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong experience with medical claims and eligibility data .
  • Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration workflows.
  • Ability to perform data analysis and detect anomalies or inconsistencies.
  • Experience creating S2T mapping documents .
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional work.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) for reporting.
  • Understanding of healthcare data standards and compliance (HIPAA).

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $64,974 to $149,880.
