Raines Co. - Your Future is Now Position Summary: The Laundry Attendant position is responsible for cleaning and monitoring the hotel linens and terry by washing, drying, and ironing. Timely providing the Housekeeping, Food and Beverage and Hotel with guest laundry needs.   • Identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard.
  • Inspect cleanliness of articles removed from the washer, dryer, or dry-cleaning machines and place in clean linen carts.
  • Set dryer to designated times and temperatures based on fabrics contained in load.
  • Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain trap after each load.
  • Fold cleaned articles into designated size, either by hand or using folding machine
  • Maintain accurate records of items laundered
  • Deliver folded linen to designated storage areas
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language
  • Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards
  • Keep laundry all surroundings always clean
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors
Experience Prior laundry experience preferred Hours required Scheduled days and time vary based on hotel needs. Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
