Inventory Manager – Wall-to-Wall Cycle Count Lead

Chesterfield, MI | 5-Month Contract | Day Shift | $38-$50/Hr. BOE

A global leader in sustainable manufacturing is seeking an Inventory Manager to lead the end-to-end execution of a wall-to-wall cycle count. This 5-month contract will span all phases of the project — from planning and preparation through execution, reconciliation, and audit review — with a strong focus on compliance and audit readiness.

This role is critical in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and audit compliance while serving as the primary point of contact for both internal teams and external auditors.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate pre-count activities including system validation, warehouse readiness, labeling, and product segregation
• Conduct trial counts, spot audits, and ensure SOPs and protocols are documented and followed
• Train and organize count teams to ensure consistency and accuracy during execution
• Lead cycle count activities on-site, resolving discrepancies and logistical issues in real time
• Act as the liaison with external auditors, providing documentation and ensuring compliance
• Deliver progress reports, reconcile variances, and oversee final audit review

Qualifications:

• Proven experience leading full physical or wall-to-wall inventory counts under audit scrutiny
• Strong knowledge of cycle counting methodologies and ERP systems (SAP Business One preferred)
• Hands-on background in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams under tight audit-driven deadlines
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
