Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Design Engineer to interpret preliminary designs and client specifications in order to identify required components and materials.
• Issue Request for Proposals (RFPs) to vendors, ensuring all technical specifications are clearly communicated.
• Provide prompt and accurate responses to vendor inquiries and clarification requests concerning the project scope.
• Expedite vendor responses to ensure timely receipt of RFP submissions.
• Analyze vendor bids to determine the most cost-effective solution that meets the projects technical requirements.
• Develop and maintain detailed cost summaries using Microsoft Excel , incorporating primary steel costs and vendor quotes.
• Present total estimated project costs to the sales team, supporting them in developing client proposals.
• Draft client proposals, consolidating all technical and commercial details for final sales approval.
• Upon project award, review and update cost information to reflect current pricing and availability.
• Organize and archive all project documentation in a dedicated SharePoint folder for seamless operational handoff.
• Maintain regular communication with the Estimating Manager and Salesperson to ensure clarity and alignment throughout the proposal development process.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of estimating experience within the PEMB industry.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple estimates simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• High degree of organization and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word , Excel , and SharePoint .
• Familiarity with Salesforce and MBS software is a plus.
