Schouest, Bamdas, Soshea, BenMaier, and Eastham is a rapidly growing defense law firm with offices in Houston, TX, New Orleans, LA, Chicago, IL, and Boca Raton, FL.

We are looking for Texas-licensed attorneys to work in our Dallas, TX DBA/Personal Injury group:

Responsibilities:

• Assists with docket involving Workers Compensation claims by:
• providing sound legal analysis, drafting petitions and communicating with clients, Department of Labor and opposing counsel.
• Review, analyze and summarize claims documents including medical records, incident reports, and employment files
• Complete legal analysis of files to determine likelihood of recovery, recoverable amounts, identification of additional documentation necessary for recovery, recoverable amounts, identification of additional documentation necessary for recovery
• Participate in conferences with the Department of Labor to address issues pertinent to the resolution of files
• Make court appearances as necessary
• Conduct consultations with potential clients
• Assist with drafting legal documents

Qualifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois
• 1-3 years of experience
• Problem solving skills
• Ability to perform under stress
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail
